Eyes that see everything
Project Space Sodų 4 / VILNIUS (Lithuania)
02.03.2017 – 17.03.2017

Sodų 4 was hosting a solo show by artist Małgorzata Żurada. Presented for the first time this exhibition was a result of a long lasting research by the artist, mostly developed during her residency at Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts, Lithuania in December 2015 – January 2016 and later in Vilnius. Reading of poetic texts written for this exhibition by poet Aušra Kaziliūnaitė took place during the opening.

“Eyes that see everything” is a direct reference to a screenplay, written in 1940 for Paramount Pictures by a clairvoyant Stefan Ossowiecki on the basis of his own biography. The project is a creative continuation of historical records of the experiments conducted by him and other psychics in the early 20th century. Based on the documented sources a new narrative emerges, that freely combines facts with fiction and leads to examine a broader idea of communication with unknown party, concepts of liminal states, extrasensory perception and knowledge transmission through the unconventional means.
