she is here
you didn’t see her when you came in, but she’s sitting in the furthest corner of the room
you won’t feel her gaze, she–
she doesn’t sleep much
she is cold
the hairs on her arms rise up and stiffen, skin like braille
she stays up until 6am so that she can sleep through the day
she comes home at 6am, she is ancient
ornament and crime
how does one create an image without making it melancholy?
triviality turns into sentiment
pink-hued ennui
and a glass of green
